A good, budget hotel. Great location to Paddington Station. Great for using as a base when visiting London. Could do with Tea/Coffee making facilities in room. Would stay again.

Clean, comfortable rooms, even if quite little. Friendly staff, especially at breakfast, but breakfast not so rich, if compared to same starred-Hotels. Overall, quite good, with pleasant location.

Very clean, excellent location budget hotel. Plenty of hot water. Breakfast not good, but Mimo's cafe around the corner was great and fairly cheap. Would stay here again.

I have been coming to London from the US for many years. I always stay at the Nayland because it is pleasant, well located, and really good value for money. It is very convenient to a good Tube stop and Paddington Station (Heathrow Express). It has a lift (an exception among budget hotels). The recent remodeling is really great. Yes, the rooms are small but I don't go to London to sit in my room. It is quite adquate for sleeping and showering/shaving. The breakfast room works OK if you will settle for dry cereal, toast, and coffee or tea. There are lots of places to eat nearby, espccially for lunch or supper.

Small single room but very clean, modern and functional. Bathroom really very poky but again spotless. Breakfast room cramped. At £45 for B&B this represents good value especially for London. Recommended.

I had an extremely clean, nice, modern double room with a nice bathroom with a shower that actually worked. I would, however, strongly suggest booking a double room for single use if you're planning to be in the room for any length of time, as the rooms are small.

Yes, the rooms are quite small - but they are clean. The evening staff (Isabella) was exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was an experience! The surrounding restaurants were wonderful.

Poor, slow staff.
Problems with room.
Many guests being found alternative accommodation after hotel being over booked - some people still waiting at 23:00 after arriving at 15:00.
Lots of road noise.
VERY small rooms.
Didn't even risk breakfast.
My advice - try ANYWHERE else.

Newly refurbished and looking lovely,
Rooms a little small but still nice.
A little cramped for space at breakfast, but the staff are helpful and make up for that. A nice stay thankyou.

Room was small but comfortable. Staff (joanne) was very nice and helpful. Room was clean. Guests should realize that there is a great deal of traffic noise late into the night on Sussex gardens. Big drawback. Can't beat it if you want to stay near Paddington

Wallpaper hanging off ceiling in bedroom, paint peeling off wall in ensuite. My small but adequate room was crying out for redecoration

although the hotel was a bit tat round the edges (appeared to be being decorated) we could not fault the service, the staff were all very helpful and friendly, nothing too much (including broken heels on shoes). would definately use you again.

Friendly, helpful staff. A bargain.
Could use a little "sprucing up".

Location was nice, and convenient for Paddington station.
The room was very small, especially the ensuite - no good if you are clostraphobic! But comfortable enough.
