It was a nice stay in hotel columbus. The hotel staff was very cooperative and ready to help and guide to the maximum extent possible. It will be highly appreciable if some sockets which fits into round shaped pin plug will be very useful.

Check in.... we had to go across to the Best Western Hotel to get access to our Hotel and only that I had rang a few nights previous to travel I would certainly not have known about this hotel, while our key was there and everything, there was absolutely no way of knowing this except I rang to advise we would be arriving late, there was no message on the voicemail advising anything only to contact at 8am next morning... or the door to contact this hotel in case of any queries.....Very bad......

Check Out .... was grand not a bother, and was great to leave the luggage until we were flying that evening.....

Bedroom ...very basic but did the job grand... ....no tea/coffee facilities after arriving at 11pm it would have been nice to have a cup of tea or something....

En Suite.... while it was clean and tiny.. the hot/cold taps were shocking...the water was almost boiling and we had a 5year old boy who very nearly got scalded the hot water was so hot and to be honest you would need a magnifying glass to identify hot from cold.....

Public area/Facilities..I take this as being outside of the hotel as in the immediate area.....fantastic location... Paddington tube/rail station was fab all needs for travel here....

Overall our stay was comfortable and I certainly would not rule out staying again..very good price for the area but sufficient at the same time for the facilities....

In english: We stayed in a quad room with two children( 7 and 9 yrs old) and it was quite good. The room was clean,we had every day clean towels, breakfast was acceptable with its'variety and kvantity. The stuff was friendly and the bathroom was, even too small but cute for all of us. Shortly, best value for this money in London. And,of corse,we had such a quiet nights in a pleasant area.

I stayed at the columbus hotel recently in a double room on the ground floor, i found my stay to be wonderful, check in was not till 3pm but my room was ready at 12pm so i got to check in early _bonus_ breackfast was good quite crowded as the hotel was full but not to noisy and the waitress always re stocked the food quickly, no tea and coffee making facilities but when i asked about it the manager was more than happy to make me some herself staff where lovely, there was a couple managing the hotel together and they seemed very "on the ball" and hands on everything that was done was done by them good to see bathrooms quite small but really how big does the bathroom need to be all in all lovely stay great for the price would definatly come again - p.s get in to breakfast early the croissants are great!!

we stayed in the hotel at the end of january. it was quite pleasant but being on the third floor having to go up very steep and narrow steps was a bit of a drag. the staff were friendly .

A very nice accommodation for the money. Location was great (near Paddington & Lancaster Gate stations). Not exactly a charming view of the back alley from #204, but it was quiet and clean. Breakfast was mediocre- a swarm of early departers had cleaned out the buffet, and the cheese had that "been out a while" dry look, and the staff was slow to restock (though always friendly!) But we slept great and would stay again (unless rich enough for a 5 star!)

The room - we had a quad - was a little bit small, but for a few days it was ok. The bathroom was very small but ...
It was clean - new towls every day - and very pretty. The staff was very friendly!!

The room was much better than we expected, breakfast was great and the staff really frindly!
Ps. To the chambermaid: Instead of eating the LAST croissant of the guests breakfst buffet, you would better change or wash more often the beds cover!

Well, our triple-room was a bit small, but still enough for three beds which were OK.
Breakfast was OK, too, people were friendly, what more do you need for a couple of great days in London?

It's a good deal for the money.
